Hello everyone, I’m Jacey! My career in the mental health field has not always been direct. I began as a funeral director, graduating with my Bachelors of Mortuary Science from SIU-C in 2019. From then my interest and work in grief has grown. In 2023, I graduated with my Masters of Thanatology from Marian University and shortly after earned my certification in thanatology from the Association for Death
Education and Counseling. In 2026, I graduated with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University.
Just like grief, I understand no two people are the same. I approach each session with adaptability, curiosity, and the desire to meet each client where they are in their journey. While grief work is my passion, I am not limited to solely helping those with grief. Whether it’s grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, or anything else, I am ready and prepared to walk the path with you. Currently, I provide clinical services to adults and teenagers.
“Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves; ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.” – Vicki Harrison.
