CWC Therapist

Spero Family Services

Hello! My journey to my position as an Outpatient Therapist with Spero Counseling and Wellness Center was a bit backwards from the norm. I spent several years as a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom before I decided to return to college in 2016 at age 43. At that time, I worked to complete my Associate Degree, then my Bachelor’s Degree, and finally my Master’s Degree, which I completed in 2020. My BA is in sociology and psychology and my MS is in forensic psychology. During these years of my pursuit of education, I increased my knowledge and experience through employment and volunteer work in child welfare programs, family crisis ministry, ministry and education with ex-offenders, and work with homeless families. As a person of faith as well as lived experience supporting friends and family members with mental health challenges, I have found Spero to be the perfect outlet for me to use my skills and experiences to support and encourage clients who are working to improve their mental health and move forward in their lives. I have experience and training in trauma and am open to all clients, although my specialty is working with children, teens, and young adults.
