Melissa Webb
Clinical Director of Community Services
Spero Family Services
I am currently the Clinical Director, Community Services at Spero, where I am dedicated to supporting individuals and families throughout their mental health journeys. I began my work with Spero as an intern, transitioned into a full-time therapist role, and proudly stepped into the role of Clinical Director in 2025.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Missouri Baptist University. I also earned Associate degrees in Arts and Science from Rend Lake College, with an emphasis in psychology, criminal justice, and business. I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology through Capella University, further deepening my clinical and leadership expertise.
With over 10 years of experience in the social services field, I have worked across a variety of settings, including community mental health and nursing home social work. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. My clinical training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), play therapy, sand tray therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and grief counseling. I also hold a certificate in group facilitation and am currently pursuing certification in play therapy to further enhance my understanding of child development and the therapeutic process within the playroom.
My passion for this work is rooted in a deep commitment to helping individuals process trauma, feel understood, and build resilience. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment not only for clients, but also for the clinical team I lead. Through collaboration, mentorship, and shared learning, I am committed to fostering growth, compassion, and excellence in care.
